This film’s story has seen many, many changes over a long period of time.  Originally it was just to be a lightsaber battle.  But how many of those have we seen on youtube alone?  Then it was decided that we might explore the idea of the Jedi Trials (the 4 trials a ‘Padawan Learner’ faces before earning the title of ‘Jedi’) across 4 separate films.  Then that was expanded into a full online series of shorts (‘Clone Wars’ wasn’t yet released).  But I kept wanting to go back to the original films, where themes and conflicts were simple, characters were more mythical archetypes.  The challenge then became a lot easier once I found a way to honour the original characters and films AND do it all from an old fan’s perspective…
